Daphne Butler Birdsey

Daphne Butler Birdsey was born and raised in New York. She graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. in Political Science in 2006 and from New York University with an M.A. in Visual Arts Administration in 2013. She has worked in fundraising since 2006, first at the Louvre Museum in Paris then at the Apollo Alliance in San Francisco, and finally at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York since 2008.
Ms. Birdsey works primarily with individual donors with a focus on raising funds for capital projects, exhibitions, acquisitions, and other programming. Most recently, she launched the first International Council of The Met, an invitation-only group of collectors and philanthropists from around the world.
