Margaret Pomeroy Hunt

Margaret Pomeroy Hunt is the Chief Development Officer at The Shed, a new multi-arts center being built in the Hudson Yards neighborhood of New York City. She is responsible for the $550M campaign to build The Shed and also for establishing the ongoing base of support that will undergird the organization once it opens in Spring of 2019.
Prior to The Shed, Hunt was Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at New York Public Radio. In this role she led fundraising and sponsorship initiatives that support the organization’s operations, programming and aggressive growth plans. Hunt has twenty years of experience in the nonprofit and for profit sectors. Prior to New York Public Radio, she served as interim Chief Development Officer at Susan G. Komen for the Cure. During the course of her career, Hunt held a number of senior positions in management, business development and fundraising at AFS Intercultural Programs, the largest international high school exchange organization. She spent two years in commercial media as a marketing manager at HBO and led strategic consulting projects in the nonprofit practice of the management consulting firm, A.T. Kearney. Her career began in development positions at New York City Ballet and Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation.
Hunt has a B.A. in Dance from U.C. Irvine and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
